The European Commission celebrates the fifth anniversary of Open Research Europe (ORE) – a modern open access publishing platform created for Horizon Europe beneficiaries.

Since its launch in 2021, ORE has become a driver of transparent and accessible science, with over 1,300 publications and thousands of researchers involved worldwide . Its innovative open peer review model accelerates knowledge sharing and enhances research quality.

For beneficiaries, the key advantage is clear – publishing free of charge, with full transparency and strong international visibility .

Looking ahead, from autumn 2026 ORE will open its doors beyond EU-funded researchers, unlocking new opportunities for global collaboration.

The National Innovation Fund encourages researchers to take part—because today, science needs not only discoveries, but open access to them.
