Risk management is a process aimed at the timely identification of potential events or circumstances that could hinder the achievement of organisational objectives, as well as at taking appropriate measures to prevent, mitigate or control their impact. Risk, in turn, refers to the possibility that an event may adversely affect an organisation’s activities, resources, reputation or performance.

Through initiatives of this kind, the National Innovation Fund reinforces its commitment to enhancing administrative capacity, strengthening internal control and applying good governance practices.
